Nathan wanted to propose to Sara in Lake Tahoe. When he got in touch with me he knew his spot of choice was Sand Harbor on the north side of Lake Tahoe, minutes away from Incline Village and only a short drive from Reno, where they live. Weather was a worry, given the stormy few weeks we’ve been having, and a coupe of other spots were considered. Sand Harbor ended being it. It’s beautiful and breathtaking and easy to access. They arrived ahead of me and took a sleigh ride with Borges Sleigh and after a quick warming up in the car they wandered to the beach. The time was now. I was about to photograph a unique and exciting moment, a step into a new adventure for them as a couple, Having been a long time Lake Tahoe wedding and engagement photographer I had the pleasure of shooting many such wonderful proposals followed by an engagement session. Every one has been different and exciting, Nathan and Sara’s was no exception. As Nathan got down one one knee I could see Sara’s joy building on her face. Kisses, embraces, strangers passing by and huge smiles followed. The day was just getting better and better. Congratulations guys! It’s been an honor photographing you in one of the most wonderful places in the world, Lake Tahoe.
