Time seems to be going by so fast sometimes. Late last August I photographed Jennifer and Joe in Tahoe. The day before the wedding they all got together for a fun evening at ROCKER in Squaw Valley. The evening couldn’t had been more perfect in the valley, the sun slowly hiding behind the tall peaks with streaking rays piercing the thick summer air. Before everyone showed up at Rocker we took a few minutes to drive down in the meadow and shoot a few frames. The light was just so nice that evening and the colors unusually warm.
Next day we were all off to West Shore Cafe in Homewood for the day’s celebrations. The place is as cool as cool can be. Looking down from the rooms at the top floor you can see and keep track of how the day develops from the staff working to the arrival of various vendors; flowers pots, the DJ or the band and all the equipment, the arch etc.
From the upper room the bride and bridesmaids have an amazing view of the lake, an uninterrupted line from Incline Village to South Lake Tahoe. The occasional boat engine is the only thing that punches the mountain air. It’s an amazing place to be.
Jennifer and Joe had a Jewish wedding ceremony. The chuppah was set close to the water on the lawn and the Ketubah ceremony a few yards away. I can go into details explaining how much excitement the day had, better to let the photos do that for me.
Check out the silent dancing at the end.
