The moment when it all comes together!
The morning light hits the subject(s) at the right angle, the facials expressions blend nicely in the frame and add to the air of simplicity and serenity. This is one of the reasons I fell in love with photography decades ago, it connects the viewer with the person in the photo even though maybe they never met. As a photographer I strive to create images that have meaning, that immerse the viewer into a reality that once existed so frugally. I try to present a moment in time through shapes, colors, motion, laughter…
Black and white photography has the power to convey emotions and invoke responses better than color photography could. There is an art to transforming a digital image into a proper black and white, it’s a soulful process.
